I’m pretty sure the answer to this is no, but I’m going to ask. I’ve seen this question asked twice in the past 2 years, but neither of those questions were answered.

If it is no, then it would really be nice to have this as a future set of options.

I want to change what information is sent to my followers when I publish a new post. Is that possible?

I over see my son’s blog. Sometimes he makes a new post while I’m logged into WordPress and the notification that goes out to his followers identify me as the author.

I’d like to remove that part of the notification so we don’t have to worry about it. Or to set a default author regardless of who is logged into the blog.

Anyone know if either of these things can be done?

The blog I need help with is

Before someone says, you can change who authors the post…
I know you can do that, but neither of us always remember to do that before the post is published. So it would be nice to have some type of default setting, or a way to choose what information is sent to followers to begin with.
