Change in appearance to my "currently hot" widget … why?

I have had in my left column widget titled “currently hot” the three most read posts listed according to a full headline.
Just a couple days ago, apparently with no action on my part, the full headline has changed to partial headline or something to that effect.
For example, here is how the full headline looked before the changed appearance:
Suicide Now Killing More U.S. Troops Than Combat Overseas, Statistics Show; Families Suffering the Aftermath
Here is how it appears now:
Suicide Now Killing More U.S. …
Why has this changed (on its own) and how can I change it back to the way it was before listing the full headline?
