Change Post Order

I feel pretty ridiculous right now as I have been blogging here for a while, but decided to start a second blog last night only to realize I forgot a few things.

For example, on my new blog http://planetoa.wordpress.com/ the post order seems to be ascending from oldest to newest, and I want it to be newest to oldest. Any idea how I can change this? I’ve been pillaging the Dashboard only to come up empty handed.

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is planetoa.wordpress.com.

Oh god, that’s a total pain. It’s possible, but it will cost you readers, as it’s exactly the opposite of what readers expect AND it’ll hurt your search engine ranking, as search engines always look for new stuff at the top of a blog, not at the bottom.

You can change the order by editing the timestamp of each post as you make it, to make the newest appear to be the oldest. Edit the timestamp on the right-hand side of the Write Post page, where the little calendar icon is.

I don’t think you got what I’m saying. My post order is already messed up.

The NEWEST post is ALREADY appearing at the BOTTOM of the blog. I don’t want it to. How do I change it?

I just read what I wrote, and that was my fault, apologies. My post order is completely messed up though. . .

I only see two posts on that blog.

You could try editing the timestamp as I said above to get the order you want.

You haven’t set either of them as Sticky, have you? Always a bad idea in my opinion.

There are only two posts on the blog because I’ve only posted twice. But the newer of the two is on the bottom. And no, I have not set it to sticky.

Okay, then edit the time again. Set them 12 hours or so apart. That should take care of it.

If you set the time zone offset between the first post and the second (or just edited and changed the “hello world” post, then this can happen. The hello world post would be on GMT/UTC.
