Changed Nameservers but need to change IP address

    My domain is registered with but I’ve purchased hosting with godaddy and moving my site to
    I’ve changed the nameservers in my 48 hours ago but Godaddy says that I have to change the ip address as well, which I don’t have access to.
    Am I suppose to do something else for it to take effect? Help please.

    There is no permanent static IP address for any blog. All IPs are dynamic ie. ever changing. Therefore does not provide static IP addresses. However, I’ll tag this thread for a Staff response.     You can point the domain you registered at to another server (hosting service), with these steps:

    You’ll need to obtain the name server values from your current host. You should be able to find them on their support documentation, or contact them and ask for the information. (Name servers may be referred as “nameservers” or “NS records” instead.)
