Changing Color of site title and site description

  1. I am very confused on how I'm supposed to change the color of the title and the description of my site on the home page. They are both barely visible as it stands. I bought the premium package, but I still can't figure it out. Can someone help?

    The blog I need help with is gamingworldreport.wordpress.com.

  2. Hey @gamingworldreport,

    I can help you change the color of the title and the description of your site.

    First, make sure you're logged into your account secondly click on this link to visit your site customizer.

    You should see a list of options and one of them should be named 'Colors and Backgrounds'. Click on this to change the color of your sites title. Experiment with the colors that you think works best for your site.

    Now onto the site description. After, finishing and saving your desired colors. Go back to the list of options and click 'Site Identity'. You should change the 'Tagline' option to change your sites description.

    Let me know if that works.

    Best,
    Bill

  3. I am looking for color change for various articles heading and overall font on this theme. Want to shift from whole-blue of this theme to light blue color

  4. Hey @radiozecom,

    If you can supply us with your sites url. I'll be happy to take a look. Also, what is the theme in question? So, that I can better prepare my answer.

  5. @gamingworldreport, to change the site title and description color on Twenty Fifteen, go to Customize > CSS, delete all the informational text in that window, and paste in the following custom CSS and adjust the colors as desired.

    .site-title a {
      color: #fff !important;
    }
    .site-description {
      color: #fff !important;
    }
  6. Hi @radiozecom, if you are talking about http://radioze.wordpress.com/, can I ask you to start a new thread in the CSS forum? CSS is theme specific, and this thread is on the Twenty Fifteen theme, and you are using Apostrophe 2.

  7. Hi @thesacredpath and @gamingworldreport,

    There's an extra semicolon in that code. CSS is forgiving enough here that it won't mess anything up, but here it is without the extra character anyway:

    .site-title a {
      color: #fff !important;
    }
    .site-description {
      color: #fff !important;
    }

    @thesacredpath, forgive me for asking an off-topic question, but how do you diagnose what themes people are using?

  8. Oops, @jessestu, thank you for catching that. I edited my response and removed it just to make sure it didn't create an issue.
