ERROR: The email address is already used. How can I get this email address to stick here?

The blog I need help with is cognitivereflection.wordpress.com.
The e-mail address registered with your WordPress.com account is your unique identifier. http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/ Two different username accounts cannot share the same email address. http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/
You have two separate email address settings at WordPress.com.
Blog notifications for the admin (like comment moderation, Likes, new subscriptions, etc) are sent to the email address at Settings -> General in the Dashboard.
Personal notifications (like comments on your post, subscription emails, and upgrade renewals) are sent to the email address at Users -> Personal Settings in the Dashboard.
Try changing it at http://wordpress.com/#!/settings/ first.
If that doesn’t work, try Users -> Personal Settings in your blog’s Dashboard.

Hi Thanks for the reply
I have changed the email address in both places (it took ages for the change to take effect) but I am still getting notifications to the old email address, I dont understand why this has not stopped.
I even deleted that address from gravatar as well but I am still getting mail to it.
