I have a simple portfolio that has things like my resume, work, ect. I keep trying to edit the link to my resume to show on the page as http://julianadeitch.wordpress.com/resume/, but instead it keeps changing itself back to http://julianadeitch.wordpress.com/resume-3/, even after i edit the link under edit pages. Same for my published work page. How do I change this? My blog url is http://julianadeitch.wordpress.com

The blog I need help with is julianadeitch.wordpress.com.

Every time you create a specific page title and then delete that page you are prompting the software to add the number to the title the next time you create another one. You cannot change this. You deleted two others and the one that’s there now has this URL http://julianadeitch.wordpress.com/resume-3/

You can change this. You haven’t deleted the previous pages, you have only sent them to trash. Go to Pages > All Pages, click Trash, hover over each page title, click Delete Permanently. Then go to Pages > All Pages, hover over the currently published “resume” page, click Quick Edit, correct the slug, click Update.

You can! I wish I had known this before. It’s too late for me to use now but what great news. Bookmarked!
