changing whois info

  1. I can't find this anywhere... I'm trying to figure out if I can fix this seemingly huge mistake. I let a volunteer in our org create a blog, through her WP account, she then made me admin, and I purchased the domain for her blog (and mapping) through the account I'm currently logged into. Then she deleted me as an admin.

I don't mind letting her keep the domain but I want to make sure I don't have my billing info on her account and, second, I don't want my information listed on whois in reference to this domain.

Any advice would be really great... Thanks.

  2. Er... her blog--the blog I need help with--is

  3. That site does not load.

  4. Hi,
I'll let Staff respond to this thread and sort this with you. I tagged it for their attention. Please subscribe so you are notified when they respond.

  5. Thanks... Anyone have a chance to look at this yet??? I'd like to just pull the url/domain that we purchased from the other blog if possible. I can't get her to respond to my requests to make me a temporary admin again.

  6. Hi there, the best thing to do to sort this out is to ask the user to log in here and confirm - by posting in this forum thread - the transfer of the domain upgrade to her. Otherwise, she won't be able to renew the domain when it expires, as domains must be renewed by the person who "owns" the upgrade.

Once that's done, please let me know and I'll take care of the transfer so your information is out of the Whois database, and the other user is able to renew the domain as needed.

You can also remove your credit card details while logged into your account, from the Settings > Account screen, which can be found via this direct link:!/settings

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the "Delete Payment Data".

Please let me know how you proceed so we can help complete the transfer.

  7. I'd like to just pull the url/domain that we purchased from the other blog if possible.

If you do decide to go this route, please me know to which other site you'd like the domain transferred?
