Chapters – Multiple "books" possible?

Anyone using the Chapters theme – I was wondering if it’s possible to have multiple “books” (or sets of chapters) on the site at once. That is, the user could click on a link for Book A, and all of its chapters are available at the top of the screen, and then the user could click on a link for Book B, and now all of the chapters for book B are at the top of the screen, and so on.

Or is it a situation where I can really only have 1 book at a time visible on the site. I’m thinking this is the case, because the same chapters are always there, no matter what page or how many you create. Thanks!

Your theme is a premium theme and we Volunteers answering questions on this forum have no knowledge of how they are designed to operate. When you purchased your premium theme what came with that purchase was support directly from the theme designer in the Premium Theme Support Forum. There is a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard

I’m thinking what you could do is to make a category for each book and then put all chapters and such for that book into its category. You would then use a static front page for your site and create a custom menu and put the categories into the top navigation. Then when someone clicked on that category, they would get all the posts in that category (chapters, etc.).

Since we volunteers don’t have access to premium themes, I can’t play with this, but from looking at the demo site, I think it would work.

Clever! :) I have been demoing it too. :)

Oops, forgot some links for you.

On the static front page support document, you would not want to create a “posts” (blog) page since otherwise all the different books would be mixed in together on the normal “blog” pages.

Thanks. It looks like it would work.

Thank you Sacred! I’ll give it a shot.

    You are welcome.
