CNAME and MX
-
Hi everyone!
I am having problems with the custom DNS records. I received the information from register.com but I don’t know how to format it:
In C Name: mail.make-it-fabulous.com points to: webmail01.register.com
In MX: make-it-fabulous.com Priority: High mx01.register.com; Medium mx03.register.comI looked at the responses given on similar topics but I didn’t find a response that corresponds exactly to my situation.
Can you help?
Thank you!

Hi. The following support documents explains just how to format your DNS records so that WordPress.com understands them:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/custom-dns/#adding-custom-dns-recordsRegrettably, your provider did not provide you (no pun intended) with the priority numbers, so we’ll have to improvise…
CNAME MAIL WEBMAIL01.REGISTER.COM. MX 1 MX01.REGISTER.COM. MX 5 MX03.REGISTER.COM.
Please advise if it works.

Thank you for your response airodyssey!
When I contacted my provider again on Friday night, I was told to use 10 for the priority.
Here is what I entered:
MX 10 MX01.REGISTER.COM
MX 10 MX03.REGISTER.COM
CNAME MAIL.MAKE-IT-FABULOUS.COM WEBMAIL01.REGISTER.COMI didn’t get any error message and the information was saved but nothing has happened since. The email is still not working:-(

Also, your CNAME record is wrong. Please follow the example I gave you, changing only the priority numbers.
