Comet theme CSS question.

  1. lovecraftezine

    Hello everyone. I'm currently starting to learn CSS, but I'm not ashamed to say that I don't have much of a clue as of yet. Currently, I'm using the 'comet' theme at - the folks I'm designing it for would like the layout to be red to match their logo. I DID select the red option, but it's more of a pink than a red.

    So obviously I need to upgrade the CSS and change it. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where to change this color, so that all the current 'pink' areas are actually red?

    Thanks in advance for your help.

  2. Since you're new to CSS, I would recommend reading this:

    If you purchase the CSS upgrade, I'd recommend reading this as well:

    Now, if you buy the CSS upgrade, you'd need to paste this in your CSS Editor:

    #c1, #c2, #c3, .menu{border-color:#c00;}
    .menu li.current-menu-item > a, .menu li.current-menu-item > a:hover, .menu li.current_page_item > a, .menu li.current_page_item > a:hover{background:#c00; color: #fefefe; }

    Like the second link recommends, make sure that that's the only code you have in your CSS Editor (unless you want to make other changes/additions to the Style Sheet. Also, "#c00" and "#fefefe" are suggested values. You can change them to fit your needs.

    I really appreciate your response. I'll try doing as you suggest. Thanks.
