Confit Theme only allows ONE menu page in Navigation List?
I cannot see a way to restrict Food Menus to different navigational pages in the Confit Theme. Once I designate a Page as a Menu Page, then ALL of my Food Menus attach to it. I would like to attach the Food Menus of Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner to my Dishes Page. And, I would like to attach the Food Menus of Wine, Beer, and Dessert to my Drinks and Desserts Page. I don’t think this is possible in the Confit theme, even with the use of a Custom Menu. Am I right? Or, can someone please advise me. Thank you!
The blog I need help with is masterappsterdemo1.wordpress.com.
You can create multiple custom menus and use custom menu widgets to display them. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/custom-menu-widget/
Among the most common misconceptions is that bloggers fail to understand is
(1) there is only one page we can post to in any blog and
(2) the static pages http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ they create do not automatically update.
Only the dynamic pages like Categories, Tags and Archives pages created by the software when we publish a post we that we have assigned Categories and Tags too will update automatically update with new posts.
By default the front page of the blog is the post that displays all posts in your blog. Though there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts (not pages) http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ and we cannot post to more than that one page, we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page.
We organize posts by assigning categories to them. You can create a custom menu and add the dynamic categories and sub-categories pages into the custom menu.
Thank you for the explanation about Custom Menus. But, I don’t see a way to attach a “Food Menu” to a Custom Menu without having all of the Food Items attach with it. I don’t see how a “Food Menu” appears as a Page, a Category, or a Link that can then be used in a Custom Menu. Advise please.
Why don’t your create sub-categories?
This is an example of a category URL http://thistimethisspace.com/category/food/
This is an example of sub-category URL http://thistimethisspace.com/category/food/recipes/
You can assign categories to posts designate a hierarchical sub-category structure The easy way to do this is to create a cusom menu. Add the categories pages to it and create the sub-categories order in it.

Thank you for the recommendation and the links. I will explore this option.
