Confused on how to link existing blog and domain to

  1. organicandurban

My website is up and running, but I'd like to have it on my account so I can have followers more easily see my posts. I tried to map the domain, but it deleted all my content.

How should I go about doing this? I'm sure someone has wanted to do this in the past, but I couldn't find a specific post on it.

    Thanks so much,

    Thomas Boyden

You gave both a self hosted website and a free hosted blog. Your website cannot be embedded into your free hosted blog.

I'm not clear on what you are trying to do so please expand on what you are trying to achieve. Note that I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to the thread and be patient while waiting for their response.

    I can't link as a [s]ubdomain.

On, you can use a subdomain of a domain that you already own as your blog’s domain. For instance, if you already have a website up at, and your blog is at, you can put your blog in a subdomain of that website, such as This is called Domain Mapping. Your old address will still work, but we will automatically redirect traffic from your old address to your new one.

Thank you, my problem was I tried to map directly. I think I understand now, no need for staff to help out.

    I appreciate it.

So I just did the subdomain thing, but I have no clue if it worked. It doesn't seem to be working. This is so frustrating. I just want to have ONE blog connected to this site. Giving up for now.

NOW I see what I did wrong. I put my domain as, when I should have put it as - Could a staff member change this? If that is changed, I believe I am good to go.
