    Hello there,

It appears as though the URL of the site you provided is not actually hosted here on This forum and the tutorial you presumably are following is for sites hosted by

You may be better served asking this question on the support forums on or with your hosting provider.

If you are referring to another site that you have hosted here on, please let me know and I will be happy to help out.

  3. Hi amandasjackson, thank you for the quick reply :-)
but why do you think that URL of my site is not hosted here? I just follow the standard guidance for connecting my wp site with eventbrite. I logged on to - everything looks as described here
    apart from the eventbrite option.

    Hi again,

I looked up the URL of (the site that you had said you need help with) using WhoIs, and it is not showing that your host is

Are you referring to a different site? If so, my appologies. I know myself that I have hosting here on as well as a site that is hosted elsewhere, but it is connected to my WordPress account. The site hosted by, has the option for eventbrite, the one connected to my account, but hosted elsewhere, does not have the option.

I hope this helps to further explain why you are not seeing that option.

  5. Hi again,
yes you are right, maybe I got it wrong in your first reply. I already had a provider when I switched to WP ... and I did not switch my provider. But anyway even if your explanation is correct for me it seems strange. Why? Because when I look up how to connect Eventbrite with an WP site you find nothing neither at Eventbrite nether at WP that the site must be hosted by WP. So it is wrong for the plethora of WP users which do not host at WP...can this be true?
Maybe there is another thing i missed to do? Bu anyway, thank you very much for your help.

  6. WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here

Know that themes licensed and adapted for use on wordpress.COM hosted sites are nontransferable to wordpress.ORG software installs and visa versa.

  7. is hosted by Neue Medien Muennich
    Name Servers:

What amandasjackson said is correct. That site is not on our WordPress.COM servers. You are posting to the wrong support forum to get support for it.

  8. Hi timethief,
thank you for your clarification. I will in any case contact my provider ... and maybe switch to But maybe some of you can explain me, why I already find my website when I log on to (my sites)? Thanks again for your help!

  9. I assume it's connected through the Jetpack plugin. We do not provide support for local installs of wordpress.ORG software, or for wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites account page.

  10. Thanks for your detailed reply :-) Helps me a lot.
