Contact Page
-
Hi,
I have added a contact page to wordpress.com several times and saved it, but it then it disappears and I can’t see a contact page, just a regular page.
What am I doing wrong? Been working on this for hours.
Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The Visibility area of the Publish module gives you the option to make a page public, password protected, or completely private.
Public – The page will be visible to everyone.
Protected – The page is protected with a password you set. Only people who have the password can view a protected page.
Private – Pages are only visible to blog Editors and Administrators. Private pages are not visible in Blog Surfer, feeds, or in any search. A page can be private without being password protected.Have you created a custom menu? Troubleshooting – My menu isn’t appearing
Go to the custom menu page in the dashboard Apearance > Menus and in the “theme location” module at upper left select your custom menu from the pulldown and then click “save”.If you have not created a custom menu and you do see the page in your dashboard but not on the blog you could have browser issue.

Thanks Timethief
Thanks for the comments. My Contacts page is public, and I do have a custom menu that shows the page, but when I click on it, it looks like a regular page, and doesn’t have the fields of the contact page.
On the desktop, after saving, and navigating away, if I go back to that page in the desktop, its just blank….no code, nothing.
Thanks hnsaifi, I watched it several times and I’m still none the wiser!

This is the relevant support entry link that was posted above. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/
Whether or not one is using the Visual Eeditor or the HTML editor for the standard non-customized contact form on the page one types the following shortcode exactly as is [contact-form] and then clicks “publish”. That’s all there is to it. -
Thanks Timethief.
Yes, the following appears in the window….[contact-form] [contact-field label="Name" type="name" required="true" /] [contact-field label="Email" type="email" required="true" /] [contact-field label="Website" type="url" /] [contact-field label="Comment" type="textarea" required="true" /] [/contact-form]
Then I hit publish, but just get a regular page.
Thoughts?
