'Converting' one blog into two!

    Hello everyone
I have a wordpress blog that I use to upload to my website (via the oneclick uploader). However, I want to change it so that the wordpress blog deals with one aspect of what I do (a course that I run) and I use the website for everything else that I do (various different subjects). I changed the blog theme and realised that this somehow ‘disconnected’ it from the website. So, I thought the easiest thing would be to retain the blog as it now is and start a whole new blog in order to upload to the website. (I have not yet cleared the website of the original content yet but will happily do so as soon as I know if this is all possible). My questions are…
Can I run more than one wordpress blog?
If so, do I have to reload the one-click installer related to the ‘new’ blog in order for it to connect to the website (as happened automatically with the original blog/website connection) or does it HAVE to use the original – therefore how do I sort it all out please?

Many thanks if you can help. I am totally non-techy and really need someone to mentor me through the changes. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The blog I need help with is cathchandler.wordpress.com.
