Someone with a wordpress.com account, somehow downloaded a PDF of my e-book that I never put on wordpress, and is offering it freely on a google search of my book’s title. How do I contact wordpress to track the account holder for copyright infringement?

The blog I need help with is ginashomecookingfordogs.wordpress.com.

    Hello @ginaartbooks2015
You can try contacting the site owner to take down the copyrighted content/file, but it does not work most of the time.

So the next step would be to make sure that the site is hosted at WordPress.COM. Read this to do that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/copyright-infringement-what-to-do/#4-determine-if-the-site-is-hosted-at-wordpress-com

Compose your formal notice and send it to the host.
When you submit a DMCA notice to a web host (WordPress.com or elsewhere), the person who published the reported materials has the right to review the notice in its entirety.
Please note that any infringement notices submitted via our DMCA takedown or trademark infringement processes may be forwarded to the party that made the content available, or to third parties such as ChillingEffects.org.

Also, to ensure protection against content theft, read this:

Let us know if you need any further help with this.
    Thanks!

    Hi there,

If the site is hosted on WordPress.com, please submit a DMCA takedown notice as explained above.

If the site is using the self-hosted WordPress software (It will say “Powered by WordPress” at the bottom and link to WordPress.org, rather than .com), there’s nothing we can do, as that site is not on our servers and we don’t have access to it. In that case you’ll need to submit a takedown request to their hosting provider instead.
