I can’t access my blog. I can access my browser and it looks like I could write a new post, but when I put in the blog address I get a “problem loading page” message that says “can’t access server. The site is: http://www.cooking4everyone.net. I haven’t updated it or tried to access it for sometime – could this be the problem? I followed the directions – cleared cache, deleted cookies, and got the most recent version of Flash player. I use Firefox. What am i missing?

How can you tell my domain name has expired? I may have done it through Network Solutions, but I honestly don’t remember so it may have been through WordPress.com. So do I repurchase it? How do I gain access to my content whether I keep the same domain name or not? Thanks so much for your help!
I did a standard whois query for it, and it came up entirely empty. I also ran a name server check, and there were no delegation records for it. If it ever existed, it expired.
Your content should still exist if you did not delete the blog. The blog is redirecting, so at least the mapping is still in place. Just register the domain name, again. It should be simpler to just do this through WordPress.com to get the correct name server records (but it can be done anywhere that lets you set the name server records).
