I’ve searched the forums and found iterations of this discussion but none led to resolution for me. I’m trying to purchase credits for having WP host my domain. Have done everything I need to do everywhere (network solutions, where purchased domain name, gone to WP page about mapping domain etc.) but I can’t figure out where/how to purchase wordpress credits for domain mapping. Get the following message:

    Credits

Domain mapping is available for 10 credits per domain per year, registration not included. You have 0 credits. You will have to purchase additional credits via PayPal. Note that some forms of payment (eChecks) may take several days to process.

Then all the other info with DNS numbers etc.

But no link to buy the credits.

    Please help/advise…

    Thanks

The blog I need help with is phillyspells.wordpress.com.

Go to your dashboard => Upgrades => Gifts => Click the desired amount & you’ll be taken to PayPal to continue.

So the trick is: give yourself a gift. Credits. Thats reallyt far fetched .. been looking for a solution for a month now!

Well, problem solved, but maybe there is an easier way to buy domains?

Yeah it would be nice to see this made a bit easier. I’ve spent the last day or two trying to figure out how to do this.

This is really outrageous. There should be a plain simple link to buy credits for domain mapping.

I purchased domain mapping and it was very simple, a button to click and everything went smoothly. The thing is that as long as your nameservers aren’t correctly pointed, you won’t get that button. You have to wait for the list with the nameservers and IP addresses to disappear, which means that everything is configured correctly.
