CSS Selector for borders at bottom of page - twenty twelve

  1. sydesiderataclassic

    Sorry really can't figure this one out! I have managed to enter the correct CSS for changing the border color on the main nav menu.

    My question is what is the code to change the color of the borders at the bottom of the page to match the nav menu? I can't work out what the CSS selector is for them.

    Thanks in advance :)

    The blog I need help with is

  2. .site-content article, footer[role="contentinfo"] {
        border-color: #A9D2CC;

    Thanks justpi! :)

    Justpi - sorry to bother you again - I'm trying to use firebug but it's confusing me!

    Could you tell me the Selector for the border line above that one too.

    Much appreciated.

  5. You're welcome.

    But what "border line above that one"? You seem to have no published content on, all your menu items give a 404, the CSS I suggested above has two selectors, and it has changed the color of the single line above the footer credits and the double line below the search button on the 404 page. If you are referring to some published page that isn't included in the menu, we need its URL.

    A-ha! Sorry I meant the double line. I just checked it in chrome, IE and safari, and the double line showed up in the correct color. I cleared my firefox cache/history etc and it showed up correctly this time.

    You must have the patience of a saint - thank you!

    (I definitely don't have the patience of a saint, but you didn't do anything to tax it. Besides, I'm not staff, I'm a fellow blogger volunteering, so I'm not obliged to answer: I only reply if and when I want to!)

    Well I thank you for your time! I just published my home page and there is still another line showing at the bottom that isn't in the same color - would you possibly have a look at it for me?

  9. Change the first line of my previous suggestion to this:
    .site-content article, div.sharedaddy, footer[role="contentinfo"] {

    :D Thank you! If you ever need to know anything about sailing or scuba diving you know who to ask! :D
