    Hi - newbie here.

IS there a way to make a custom link in my menu open in a new window or tab?

    Thank you, Sandy

The blog I need help with is creativewoodworkingvt.com.

  2. The links here on this page already do that http://creativewoodworkingvt.com/shopping/

  3. I believe Sandy was wondering about the menu links and not links within posts and pages.

Sandy -- I don't think this is an option at the moment.

Thank you daschultemn, that is what I meant, I do hope it will be an option at some point :-)

And thank you timethief, I appreciate your response as well.

  5. Sandy, yes there is. If you go to Appearance > Menu and in the Screen Options tab at top right, check "Link Target" and then click on a menu item to open it and below the Navigation Label field will be a check box to open the menu in a new window/tab. Make sure and save your menu after making those changes.

  6. Hat tip to thesacredpath for being right on the money. It's there in the new and old editors...doh. Well done, sir.

  7. You are welcome. I did notice that it isn't mentioned in the support documentation. I'll be fixing that in the very near future. :)
