Customising contact form width

  1. kerrymurrayphotography

    Good grief I have a lot of questions this week!

    So this time I need help with the contact form on my blog:
    I would like to limit the width of the contact form so that all the fields are the same width as the "name" and "email" fields... at the moment the textarea field is much wider... in the Support page about custom forms it mentioned that if you have the CSS upgrade (which I do) you can customise the form, but doesn't specify how.

    I would then like to be able to position it to the left or right hand side of the column so I can have my other text next to the form, instead of being above and below t, as it is now. Is this possible?

    Thanks so much!

    I've specifically targeted this contact form so if you happen to use another one, you would have to add the specific contact form ID to the first rule below.

    #contact-form-995 {
    width: 300px;
    .contact-form textarea {
    width: 100%;

    Thank you, works perfectly!

    I can't seem to be able to use the space to the right of the form though, How do I write in that area, or is this not possible?

    thanks so much for your help!

  4. The text above could be moved down and into that area and the contact form moved up, but it is a little tricky. It has to do with the way the divs and elements are laid out and nested.

    Do you want to do that?

    Hi, thanks for the suggestion, but I think I'm going to leave it the way it is, its not that important of a change, I thought it might be an easy thing to tweak, but I'm just being too particular, as usual! Thanks though, I really appreciate all the help you have given me so far. xx

  6. You are welcome.
