Customizing WP with Dreamweaver

Im new to wordpress. My experience thus far has been from a webdesign class that intro to css via dreamweaver. I can make a site layout and all that jazz. I came here to WP because I need to have a search function, user member meta admin, and shopping cart. This site will be the first where I use a database. Im using godaddy and have the WP attachment, and mySQL database. So my question is, after I choose a theme thats close to the css style sheet I’ve made in dreamweaver, can I then alter the WP theme to match my css syle?

Any help regarding setting up search function, user meta, shopping carts, and custom CSS is greatly appreciated!

Sorry, if you are at godaddy then you are in the wrong forum and need to head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ as that is where self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG are supported.

These forums are for those hosted here on the wordpress.COM free hosting service and things here work differently and our answers typically will not work for you.

If you do not know the difference, see this support document: .

Since each author structures their themes and CSS differently and chooses different labels, you are going to have to modify the CSS for the theme you have chosen. CSS is theme specific.

That is actually all I’m going to say since you really need to be at the .ORG forums.

thank you for the info and lead in the right direction

    You’re welcome.
