Dashboard Buttons Stopped Functioning

i’ve noticed over the passed few days that my dashboard has been slowly shutting down on me.
It started when I made a page and had it password protected for a short period of time.

when I went back a few days later to take the password off, when I clicked “edit” next to visibility nothing would happen and it won’t allow me to take the password off.

then I noticed the buttons that expanded the tabs (posts/media/links/pages/so on and so forth) stopped working and wouldn’t expand those sections.
then i noticed when I would try work on any posts that the “add image” and all the other buttons next to the “upload/insert”
Even the QuickPress feature on the dashboard won’t load.

I’m on wordpress 3.1, turned off all my plugins (heard it might help) and made sure I had the most recent version of flash (also heard it might help)

Anyone have some knowledge to help me out?
