Hi I’ve had problems all afternoon trying to access everything on my blog posts, reader, comments etc via the dashboard of my blog https://thesecretlibrarysite.wordpress.com/ from my PC. I’ve logged out and in again, and deleted my cache and it hasn’t made any difference. Can someone help?

The blog I need help with is thesecretlibrarysite.wordpress.com.

I also can’t write any new posts, it just takes me to a blank wordpress screen with the logo.

You appear to be describing either a connectivity issue or a browser related issue.

Please act on all the tips here https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/ first.

    • Make sure you are running an up to date browser version found at http://browsehappy.com
    • Make sure you have both JavaScript and third party cookies enabled https://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/#how-do-i-enable-third-party-cookies.
    • Disable any adblocker browser add-ons and all browser extensions and adons.
    • Try clearing your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
    • Try using another browser.

If you are not successful please post this specific info here:
    (a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
    (b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://supportdetails.com/

Thanks for your help. I realise that it’s not the dashboard but the sidebar called My sites that I have problems with. I only get a blank page when click links to reader, blog posts, except WP Admin which I can get into, but I can’t use the improved editor to edit any draft posts. I tried al the options above and have the latest Firefox browser. Any other ideas would be really appreciated. Thank you

    Hi nickimags,

I’ve checked your account and thesecretlibrarysite.wordpress.com is listed when I click on My Sites. If you view your account using another browser, are you able to see the site? Or does the problem only occur in the browser you are currently using?

Just let me know and we can go from there.

    Thanks!

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly really appreciate it. It works perfectly normally in Internet Explorer but not in Firefox.

You’re welcome! The fact that your dashboard is working in Internet Explorer suggests the problem could be related to some of the settings in Firefox.

Do you have any extensions for Firefox? If so, it would be worth disabling them to see if the problem is still there.

Please also check whether Javascript is enabled:

Let me know how you get on.

I’ve turned all extensions off and JavaScript is always enabled.
    I’m very confused.

Hi I’ve also noticed that when I close Firefox WordPress logs me out every time. This doesn’t happen with any other website so I’m beginning to think the problem is not browser related after all. Any ideas?
