Default Caption

I have a simple blog that uses the entries as if they were a dictionary/glossary. I need to occasionally add images into the entries and would like each one to have a default caption that says “Click to Enlarge” and I don’t want to have to put that text in every image caption manually.

I’ve dug around for a few days off and on now, and can’t seem to find anything like that. I’ve tried adding the default caption to various places in the theme/function/installation & ruined the install a couple of times, re-placed it from the backups and cursed it more than once.

I’m sure this is an easy one and I’m just having a brain-freeze on the search for it. so can anyone tell me how to add a default caption to an image if there isn’t one already there?

    Thanks for your help
