Delete blog from My Blogs
I cannot remove a blog from the My Blogs overview since it doesn’t exist anymore. Can you please get rid of it for me?
The blog I need help with is tweedehands-elektrische-scooter.nl.
Provided you post the URLs of self hosted blogs you want deleted from your account into a forum thread like this one, Staff can do this for you. Please do that now as I tagged this thread for their assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.
It concerns the blog with URL tweedehands-elektrische-scooter.nl.
Thank you so far!
Thanks for the URL and please be patient while waiting.
I have disconnected Jetpack for the site tweedehands-elektrische-scooter.nl. Let us know if you need anything else.
Amazing, that’s all I needed. Thanks!
How come it is not possible for users to do this themselves?
I also have 2 blogs on my account that I am struggling with. One has the wrong information (wrong number of posts and comments) and the other blog does not exist anymore.
Can I post a link to those two, and have one updated and another deleted?
We are working on allowing users to remove their own site Jetpack sites. For now, users are allowed to hide their sites from the dashboard by following the instructions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility
If you post the URLs of the site’s you need help with I’ll take a look.
In the future, please create your own support thread:
http://www.mslarsen.dk/blog/ is the one that needs to be reset. I had to re-launch it a little while back, something went wrong and I lost pretty much everything on there. – My own mistake though, and it wasn’t a lot.
http://www.mslarsen.dk/portfolio/Joyschool is the one that lo longer exists.
I have removed the inactive blog from your account. Could you please provide me with more information about the problem you are having with mslarsen.dk/blog?
A few months back I had to take the site down, I removed all the WP tables from my SQL server and then I installed the blog again. However, now it is counting my new posts, together with the old ones and it is also counting old comments, pageviews and so on. I would like to reset it so that it only shows the current correct information, from since I set it up the last time.
We can reset your WordPress.com stats for you. Please note this will delete all your prior stats. If you would like to proceed with this please let me know.
Could you also provide clarification on where you are seeing the improper post counts? If this is inside of the stats pages it can be resolved with a reset.
Hope this helps and let me know if you need anything else.
The wrong stats are shown at my WP dashboard as well as when I go to “My Blogs” here on wordpress.com.
If a reset will fix the prior stats count but leave the current stats unharmed, then that would be fine. Please, go ahead :)
If we reset your stats this will delete your current stats along with the ones from before you rebuilt your site. If you would like to proceed, please give me your express permission and we’ll get it taken care of.
If I export through the dashborad export tool and then import my blog after your reset will that then make the numbers right? The right number of comments, posts etc.?
It sounds like you may be having two separate problems:
1) The stats inside of WordPress.com Stats (Jetpack) is incorrect after you reconstructed your blog. This we can fix by resetting all your stats to zero.
2) The post count/comment count inside the WordPress dashboard is wrong. While we don’t provide support for self installed sites, this sounds like it could be a problem with the database or a plugin.
I would recommend this, after a full back-up of your site is complete we reset your stats. Then we can check to see if you are still having problems with your post count and go from there.
Inside wordpress, the comments and posts numbers are correct, it is only on the “myblogs” tab here on wordpress.com that the numbers are wrong.
My Dashboard says I have 19 posts and 2 comments, which is correct. But “my blogs” says I have 36 posts and 6 comments.
Thank you so much for clarification. We can reset your Stats which will correct the number of post here at WordPress.com.
Please let me know if you are okay with removing all your your stats data and we’ll get it taken care of.
No problem :)
Yes, you can go ahead and clear the stats I have everything backed up on my end just in case :)
We have reset your stats. Please disconnect and reconnect your site to Jetpack. Once you have the site reconnected please let me know and I can finish resetting your stats.
