  1. Hi, I have followed advice posted in other threads, such as unchecking comments in screen options and unchecking through bulk edit, however none of these actions seem to have an effect. Any ideas? Thanks.

The blog I need help with is

  2. Oh I am using the nishita theme.

  3. Sre these the instructions you followed? This page > Settings > Discussion
Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments. We can also override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any post or page.
Depending on the theme we use when we close comments a phrase like "comments closed" or a similar phrase may appear and if so, it can only be removed by CSS editing after purchasing a custom design upgrade.

  4. Edit: "Sre" was meant to be "Are"

  5. Yes, I tried both of these methods. Everything under discussion settings is in unchecked and I have disabled the comments and discussion on each page to no avail. Anything else I can try?

  6. Can’t find the Discussion module? By default, new blogs on will have the Discussion module hidden. You can reveal it by clicking on Screen Options on the top right corner of your Admin page, and checking the box that says Discussion.

    You want to "unhide" these:
Posts – Post Tags, Categories, Excerpt, Send Trackbacks, Discussion, Comments, Post Slug, Post Author, Post Revisions
Page – Page Attributes, Recommendations, Featured Image, Discussion, Comments, Slug, Author, Revisions

    Then try following these instructions

  7. Sorry to sound obvious, but you also clicked the save changes button at the bottom of the page?

  8. And you can also make changes to multiple posts or pages using the "bulk edit" feature.
