deleted blog, but need the same url -

  1. Hi,

Thank you, somebody, for responding. I understand that *that blog -Luthando Coeur - is gone forever. I'm not sorry. I couldn't load it to make changes. However, I want to use that same site,, with the content of another blog.
The other blog is one which loads. This must be possible. I am the same user, have all the user information, etc.

The blog I need help with is

  2. is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site. is the top level domain here. All free hosted blogs are on sub-domains and there is no recycling of deleted blog URLs.

That is why there are warnings that blog deletion is irreversible and it's why there is a confirmation link sent in an email that must be clicked to delete any blog. You can confirm by reading:

However, you can register another blog with a similar name.

Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying address is.

  3. When you delete a blog, that URL associated with that blog is gone forever. There is no getting it back. Click on the image under #3 in this support document and look under the "If you are sure" section and you will see that highlighted in bold is that the blog and the blog address will be permanently gone.

You can, as you have now, use the "2" blog you've created, or create another with a variation that you can live with.

You can register your own domain name and map it to your blog here. is available.

  4. Sorry, forgot the link to the support document on deleting sites: .

  5. Okay, I understand now. I didn't understand what a URL was, I suppose. I am not that attached to I will simply use and mask it with lc2 looks stupid and I don't want that. I will just have to front the eighteen bucks. Thanks for responding.

  6. You are welcome, and having your own domain name is actually a good thing. If you later move off of, you will retain your domain name and not be starting again from scratch, and all of your regular readers will still find you seamlessly.

  7. Yo! And didn't I post all that above or am I hallucinating?

  8. you did, you did! to you, timethief, my profoundest thanks.

  9. Of course I did. Not even my eyesight is that bad. lol :D Happy blogging!
