Deleted blog still active one month after deletion
About a month ago I deleted this blog, but today I realised it’s still online…
I thought I’d just try to delete it again but my dashboard says I don’t have any blogs right now, which is true. If I try to access the admin directly, or even click the deletion link again (since I saved the email), I get an error (“do not have the necessary privileges”).
I have only ever had one wp.com account but I have changed usernames, password, and email address.
Is the old blog linked to an old username now or what’s going on? Any ideas why it wasn’t deleted properly in the first place?
You did not specify a blog address or reason for posting when you created this topic.

This is an automated message.
You deleted it or hid it from your view on the dashboard – try the link below to log into it
Then either set to private (Dashboard >> Settings >> Reading >> visible to only those I choose), it you want to maybe use it again – remember to save changes
Or to delete the blog (Dashboard >> Tools >> Delete) – takes several “yes I know the URL is gone forever and will never be recycled)
Thanks, but that just takes me to the global dashboard.
You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.
Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility
If you have lost your log-in information you can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
and if required click the “Need More Help” link and complete the form for account recovery.
To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click. When you click the verification link the blog will be deleted and the URL will be gone forevermore.
Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
To change blog visibility to private instead go to > Settings > Reading. See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
Thanks, but still not working. :(
It lists no blogs (hidden or visible) and I am pretty sure I deleted it because I still have the “If you really want to delete your site, click the link below” email (from Sept 22nd) and I remember clicking the link, getting the “it has been deleted” message but still being able to see it online. I thought it was odd but dismissed it as “maybe it takes a few hours/days to be purged?”.
This is the same account that created the blog but it’s currently a different username. Logging in with the old username doesn’t work (“The password you entered for the email or username geamhradh is incorrect.”) and this new username (or the whole account?) doesn’t have the necessary privileges to access the blog’s dashboard.
