deleted website which deleted my domain name
I had bought a domain name through bluehost and then transferred it over to word press, I then bought a premium plan but it was a bit too confusing for me so i decided to go through a different platform. But when i got a refund for my word press account it deleted my domain name (which i knew was going to happen) But i figured since i bought it though a different website id still be able to have access to it. Now on bluehost it is telling me that i can’t transfer it because it is locked through wordpress…. help please
The blog I need help with is pepperandsel.home.blog.
When you cancel a domain, you give up ownership of that domain, and as stated during the cancellation, we cannot guarantee that you’ll ever be able to re-register it.
The good news is, we have a 5-day grace period for recovery, but we’ll need you to pay the $18 domain registration free, and based on the cancellation date, you’ll need to do that in the next 2 days!
I have sent a request for the $18 to the email address on your account, please let us know as soon as that has been paid, and we’ll recover the domain.
Unfortunately as mentioned we did need that payment in 2 days, the domain has now fully canceled and will re-join the public market eventually.
We have no control over it at this point, and I recommend attempting to re-register it at your registrar of choice a few times each week.
I have refunded the payment you sent 30 minutes ago.
You said in the next 2 days and that was on the 13th.. and today is the 15th, that doesn’t make sense
I deleted my account on the 11th which should allow me to retrieve it still
The domain is definitely no longer in our control.
I also payed for a new plan and domain registration through someone else on this website because I didnt see the first email. Would that be why?
No, it was just unfortunate timing. I have refunded what you paid for an additional plan too.
Ah damn okay, thanks anyways.
