    I would like to delete the black menu bar and have simple, clean words as menu items right on the background. Any suggestions?

    The blog I need help with is granitestatenaturopathicmedicine.com.

    This gets rid of the background black color and takes the text to black instead of white.

    #access {
    background: none;
    box-shadow: none;
    }

    #access a {
    color: #000000;
    }

    I include the following for the search box to the right of the menu items since I would assume you would also want to lighten that up. You can play with the background color and the border color and also with the text color if you wish.

    #branding .only-search #s {
    background-color: #F2F2F2;
    border-color: #EEEEEE;
    color: #222222;
    }

    Thanks! I know nothing of code, but I’ll see what I can do!

    Go to appearance > custom design > CSS tab, delete the informational text in that window and then paste the above into that window. You can then use the “preview” button to view the results. In some cases you might have to force refresh/reload the preview page if the changes do not show.

    Wow! Genius! I was terrified to try it, thinking I might screw up the whole thing, but it worked! You can tell I’m a novice. I really appreciate your help! Thanks!
