DePo Masthead not diplaying images on homepage

    Hi there

    Over the last few days I have noticed that when I go to my blogs home page the images don’t always load, sometimes I have to refresh 4 or 5 times until they show up. At first I thought it was a browser thing (I’m on a mac with Safari) but then I tried on a PC with Chrome and had the same problem… Is there something that I have done wrong? How can I fix this? Thanks for your time!

    The blog linked to your username is not wearing the Depo Masthead theme. It’s wearing Twenty Ten. Please post an active link starting with http:// to the blog in question.

    Hi again,
    Only the support bot and Staff can see that blog selection that you make when starting a thread. We Volunteers can’t so we have to ask for the link. I have viewed your blog using Firefox 6.0.2 and can see images on your front page. Have you compressed the images and presized them to fit into the post maximum displayed image width prior to uploading them?

    On Depo Masthead the maximum displayed image width is: 300 on front page columns (resized automatically when wider). I’m thinking that it may be possible that if the images are presized rather than relying of the software to automatically resize them your issue might disappear, but I don’t know that for sure.

    In any event I do think you ought to report this come and go image display to Staff. Here’s the link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox, under the search results, at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.

    thanks for your help, I don’t think resizing is the answer here, as the images have always been wider and there hasn’t been a problem before, I have been on this theme for a year now… but I will contact support, thanks so much!!

    Yes, I am still experiencing this problem–the same problem as the poster above is still experiencing (kerrymurrayphotography). The 3-column blog homepage appears without the images. Again, I have never experienced this problem until the past week or so. Now, everytime I go to my homepage, there is only text, without the images. So strange.

    Something else is strange: it seems to now depend on which browser I use:

    With Google Chrome > no images on homepage.

    With Internet Explorer > the images appear.

    Never used to be an issue …
