Developers of Simple Share Button.com are not versed on Macs or Customer Support
I purchased the newest plugins for WordPress, developed by Simple Share Button.com., Simple Share Button Plus and Simple Share Follow Plus. The plugins were downloaded, along with the keys. When I attempted to upload them in WordPress, I was unable, because the plugins they emailed did not contain a Zip file, which is what WordPress requires.
I emailed my issue to the support email address on 8-16-16 and received a reply on 8-19-16, which was to uninstalll my theme and try uploading the plugin again, which made no sense. After requesting that they re-send the download with current keys, they chose not to reply until 8-26-16 . Once again, the results were the same. I explained that I was working on a Mac and when I opened the downloads, there were no Zip folders. Their response was “yes there is.” I gave up.
While downloading another plugin, from a different developer, in the instructions, it clearly indicated that Mac users must take one addition step, which was to create a Zip, and they outlined the steps. The process worked.
I attempted to follow the same process, to create a Zip, for the Simple Share Button plugins, but I received an error message that the keys had expired. I, once again, contacted the developer, on 9-9-16, and, in an effort to be helpful, I provided them with the additional steps that Mac users needed to follow and requested they email me new keys and plugins.
As of 9-13-16 I have yet to hear back.
Creating a topic for this forum was the only method I could see, in order to get the attention of WordPress decision-makers. I don’t expect them to take any action, besides re-considering working with these developers in the future. If I have chosen the wrong path to accomplish this goal, I would appreciate any assistance. Apparently, my only course of action is to dispute the credit card charge.

Blogger installed plugin capability does not exist on WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.
For that type of functionality, you’d need a self-hosted WordPress.ORG software install running on a paid web hosting service.
We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
(1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
(2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
