Different header image for my subpage than on my homepage feature image

    Hello! I would like to make my feature image on one of my pages (weddings) different than the one featuring on my home page.

    I was just chatting with one of the engineers and she suggested to upload my question here.

    The program uses the feature image for both the top header of the page and the feature image of the page on the home page.
    I would like that picture to be different in both cases ( the header of the page and the feature part of the home page.

    The blog I need help with is lacocinaquecantaevents.com.

    Your detailed theme description is found here http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/mina-olen/

    Mina Olen supports Custom Header Images. Their suggested size is 1920 x 379 pixels.
    Note! If you set Feature Image at least 1920 x 379 pixels that replaces the original Header Image.

    If you need further theme related help then post to the premium themes support forum please http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/mina-olen

    Thank you for your response.

    Currently, the theme pulls the featured image of a page (lets call it page 1) and places it on the header of page 1 as well as a circle on the home page featuring page 1.

    Talking to one of the engineers, she mention there could be a possibility to change the images, so the picture of the header of page1 is different than the one on the home page feature image (not the header of the home page.) She said you guys could give me a CSS code to add to my page tho I can have that feature.

    Is that possible?

    You can add some CSS to get a different header image showing for particular pages, like this example for the Weddings page. I used a random image from your Media Library to demonstrate.

    .page-id-14.custom-header #header {
         background-image: url(https://lacocinaquecantaevents.files.wordpress.com/2014/06/sar_1.jpg);

    You’ll need to use the full file path of your desired header image, which you can grab from the image’s Edit Image screen in the Media Library.

    You’ll also need to replace the page ID with the individual page’s ID number, which you can grab from either of two places:

    1) In the browser address bar, while editing the page in the dashboard:

    Edit Page La Cocina que Canta WordPress

    2) In the browser’s page source, on the body tag:

    Source of http lacocinaquecantaevents com weddings

    Just let me know if you need further help with it.

    Hello Kathrynwp!

    That was very helpful! I am currently updating the header images and sizes.

    Could you possibly help me with something else?
    Can I add a gallery with CSS?
    Can I change the name of portfolios, to Gallery ( with CSS)?

    On the front page
    The read more and like buttons are way shifted down leaving a white space in between them and the txt. Is there a way to move them up? the sample theme does not look like that. Also even if I uncheck the “like button” on my dashboard, it still remains visible.

    Could you help me with that?

    Thank you very much!

    You should use the gallery feature for that:

    Can I change the name of portfolios, to Gallery ( with CSS)?

    You can try the following rather tricky way to do it. It’s a bit of a hack because CSS isn’t designed to create content or settings or add functionality—rather, it’s designed to adjust the look for things that already exist on the page. That said, there is a way to add plain text using the “content” property, so this might work for you:

    .mina-olen-latest-all h1 {
    	visibility: hidden;
    	margin-top: -1em;
    .mina-olen-latest-all h1:after {
    	content: "Galleries";
    	display: block;
    	visibility: visible;
