Distortion of the layout with Explorer
I’m a pretty newbie in blogging and I recently got stuck with an issue I hope you can help me with. My blog (Forever theme –
no CSS upgrade) displays perfectly in Firefox and Chrome but in Internet Explorer, the layout is distorted and to see the sidebar with all the widgets and categories you need to scroll down quite a lot. I am looking for a way to move it upwards.
Is there a way to sort this out? Any easy-to-follow instructions would be very much appreciated.
Thank you very much for your time and help!
The blog I need help with is temptingspoon.com.
Do know that “Internet Explorer” without the version number is meaningless to us.
it is IE 10.
I am not seeing the issue you describe in IE 10. You might want to make sure you don’t have the page zoomed in within your browser.
If you are unable to resolve it, please take a screenshot for what you’re seeing and upload it to your media library:
Hi! Thank you very much for finding the time to get back to me. Following your suggestion, here is the URL for the screenshot http://temptingspoon.files.wordpress.com/2013/09/screenshot_ts.jpg
As you can see the side bar (which starts with “Follow me on Facebook) appear next to my last recipe on the home page, while using Firefox that would show next to my very first first recipe.
Thanks a lot for your help!
You might wish to check to see if you have IE running in compatibility mode, and if so, please disable it to see if that helps.
thanks a lot for getting back to me!
I will do a few tests following your advice and see what happens.
I will let you know.
Once again thank you very much for your help. I do appreciate that.
You’re very welcome. Please let me know how it goes.
