DNS HELP please!

    I purchased my domain (years ago) through WordPress.com and they used GoDaddy. Suddenly (not sure why or how), my domain is pointing to godaddy instead of my host (bluehost), and my blog is appearing as ‘parked free by wp’. GoDaddy says I need wp to resolve the issue, but of course there is no customer service to help. Can someone please help me? Can I change it myself? Not sure if this makes sense, as I barely understand it myself. Any help greatly appreciated. (I just want to get my blog up and running again.)

    Please point the @ and www record to 69.195.124.77

    Also I would like to transfer the domain to BlueHost to avoid future issues like this. Please unlock and provide authorization code.

    when will the dns issue be resolved? Can you get in there and point the domain to where it is supposed to point? I was told this is fairly easy..?

    Yes, it’s easy if you have to add the DNS records but you are mentioning an IP address which can be done by a staff member.

    Hi there,

    Your domain is parked because it actually expired in September 2016 already – the last renewal payment for your domain was in October 2015. You will see that is the most recent receipt appearing in your account’s billing history:

    The domain has subsequently been removed from our system and will be deleted completely in a few weeks after it goes through the redemption phase at our registrar.

    At the moment it looks like the domain is not in redemption yet, so I might still be able to get it back for you. I’ve sent you a link via email to pay for the last renewal of the domain, and I can contact our registrar to restore the domain as soon as we receive your payment. However, please note that should the domain already be in redemption when we contact them there will be an additional $80 fee to restore the domain.

    Once the domain is restored you should be able to transfer it to Bluehost if you’d prefer managing it there going forward.

    I’ve received no notifications that it has expired. This is crazy. How could it be working perfectly then suddenly not with zero communication?? My records show it expires 9/2018

    I am speaking of the domain, chasingayden.com, yes.

    The domain expired in 2016 and was automatically renewed from our system, as we do that will all domains when they expire. Prior to this expiration we’d sent several emails warning you that you need to renew the domain.

    When you didn’t pay for the renewal, the domain upgrade in your WordPress.com account was removed a few weeks later, but the domain cancellation itself failed. At that point your domain should have stopped working, but it didn’t.

    Since then you have been using the domain free of charge, as it just renewed automatically at our registrar each year. I’ll again point you to your billing history where the most recent receipt for a payment for this domain is dated October 2015.

    We have now cancelled the domain as it should have been cancelled in 2016 already. Once you pay for the most September 2017 renewal, we can restore the domain to your account. We are not charging you for the September 2016 renewal even though the domain was renewed at that time without you having paid.

    If you have evidence that you did in fact pay to renew the domain in 2016 and 2017 I’ll be happy to start the domain recovery process for you immediately without further payment.
