DNS not available :( but the domain mapping is working

    Im redirecting my blog to an .NL domain (mrmbeveiliging.nl). Thats working like a charm now :)

    Problem is the DNS editor just stays on N/A. :(

    There any way to fix this? I did another site redirect for jvk-plaagdier.nl and also there the DNS/E-mail keeps standing on N/A.

    I think the zone reccord is missconfiguered.

    “Certain domains, such as .com.br and other non-US domains, your registrar may require us to add a “Zone Record” on the WordPress.com servers before the name servers can be updated. Please contact support and state the domain you want to map, and we’ll take care of this for you.”

    The blog I need help with is mrmbeveiliging.nl.

    http://mrmbeveiliging.nl/ appears to be working properly.

    It can take domain changes up to 72 hours (though usually much less) to propagate to your ISP. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your ISP refreshes their DNS cache.


    The main problem is that their aint no DNS for me to edit. Its been 5 days since the domain mapping was activated and the nameservers where changed.

    I had my 1st cliënt today and it did not make me happy handing out an hotmail adress :(.

    My register also said there aint anything possible at their end.

    I also made an contact ticket earlyer but the forum seems faster.

    I think everyone has the same problem with .NL domains. Thats why I whanted to post my message here.


    The title of the post should be: “DNS editor not available but the domain mapping is working”.
    Maybe that is why we went past eachother.



    The DNS edit won’t appear unless you’re logged in as the user who purchased the domain mapping.

    Are you currently logged in as that user?


    Yes, its also the first and only user :(

    That’s perfectly fine. It’s just that the process of tracking down the problem may involve some account details that you don’t want to be publicly posted. ;)


    This is the reply I got so far :(

    “Our records show the only upgrade you have purchased is a Site Redirect.

    You can manage these settings in your Dashboard under Settings -> Domains.

    Let me know if you need anything else.”




    Oh, you purchased a Site Redirect upgrade?

    I’m sorry, I should have checked earlier, it sounded like you had a mapping upgrade.

    DNS controls are not available on Site Redirect upgrades. Since the destination domain exists elsewhere, it cannot be controlled here.

    DNS controls are only available on Domain Mapping upgrades.

    Sorry for the confusion!


    The confusion was on my side. If I set the language of WordPress to english and go to “Upgrades” its much more clear then in Dutch.
    By exident I bought the Redirect isted of the Domain mapping. And I think you changed it :).
