Does Infinite Scroll allow use of "more" tag?

  1. I post relatively lengthy essays on my blog, at the rate of about one each week.

I have dealt with the length issue by using the "more" tag for all but the first post on the page. Will that option still be available on themes where infinite scroll is instituted?

The blog I need help with is

  2. The More Tag still works like it always has - no change

  3. Yes.

  4. I believe that it doesn't really work. I use the "Twenty Ten" look, and when I access my "recent posts" page the first seven of them are there with the "more" tag working nice, but every next one of them just happens to load in its entire form. And since these posts are quite long it looks... quite ugly. Any idea what to do?

I know exactly what you are describing.

    Any idea what to do?

    I switched themes.

  6. Just switch the theme is the most appropriate idea yet.

  7. I've spent so much effort on customizing this one and there's simply no way that it'll work with a different theme. It's really annoying, I must say. :D I just hope that they'll do something about it.

Have you read what Matt (co-founder) of WordPress) has stated in the closed thread on this issue?

  9. You mean the "we like it and we won't change it" part? ;) Yes, I did. I agree that the infinite scroll is a useful feature, but I also believe that they must improve it in some ways. I've send them a feedback regarding this "more" tag issue. Maybe they'll do something about it. Other ways... I don't know. I think I'll consider blogging elswhere.

  10. Best wishes to you for happy blogging whatever you decide to do.

  11. How bizarre: it's still there in code but being overridden.

  12. The "more" tag is working, down the entire page. If there was a problem with it, it appears to be fixed (at least in Twenty-Ten).

  13. Thanks for reporting that. A LOT of people will be interested in that.
