  1. I need help connecting the hosting and domain I bought from from godaddy to wordpress. I have designed a wordpress site before and it didn't cost to connect the two but now it seems to want me to pay to be able to use the domain. Help please!

The blog I need help with is jangroenemanncom.wordpress.com.

  2. These days at WordPress.com you need to upgrade to a paid plan to map a domain you already own. If you don't want to set up a site at GoDaddy using the WordPress.org software then these links might help.

  3. Hi jangroenemann1,

I need help connecting the hosting and domain I bought from from godaddy

Hosting is included on WordPress.com, so there is no need to purchase it elsewhere. You only need to purchase hosting if you have a self hosted WordPress.org site. The differences between the two are explained in this guide:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Your GoDaddy domain can be connected to your WordPress.com site with Domain Mapping:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

Domain mapping is a feature of all paid plans — Personal, Premium and Business. Each plan includes a domain credit which can be used to map a domain you already own or register a new one.

Come back to me if you need any more information.
