domain expired

  1. The domain of my blog has expired (it says: "Status expired on December 13, 2012 / please contact support to renew this project" --> I clicked on that, and now I am here, posting this request in a forum? Strange).

I would like to re-register the domain with another registrar. I thought after a 30 days redemption period the domain goes back into the wild? Now it is almost 2 months.

Could you please help me. Thank you.

The blog I need help with is

  2. Help! I have the same problem. My site address was and I can't get into it because its expired. How do I get access again and/or get it transferred? I do not want to redo our website. Thank you!

  3. badnarz, we no longer control the domain, which expired on December 13, and cannot renew it for you. All of your content is still available through this URL:

I removed the expired domain upgrade from your account, to avoid further confusion.

We attempted to inform your domain's expiration (via email and dashboard notices). It was possible to recover the domain for some weeks after its expiration, but because of the time lapsed, the domain was sent back to the registrar who then sold it to a new owner. This support article describes the expiration process in detail, if you are interested:

Here is the publicly available contact information of the new domain owner:

You could try contacting them to see if they will send the domain to you. Please be sure to use a reputable online purchasing site for this transaction, if it happens.

I am sorry I was not able to help you more in this case.

rosiebagley, is not registered through You'll need to contact your domain registrar about this.

  4. Macmanx, thank you for replying. I have contacted Daddy-O where it was registered but they said they could not do anything. I have a new domain name, that I purchased through Daddy-O and just need to transfer or download our web content that was created in wordpress. How can I do this?

  5. There are no blogs under your account. If this was a self-hosted blog, you'll need to contact your hosting provider.

  6. Our website was created in wordpress under When it expired,, it went up for auction and some hawk bought it for some $96 so we just bought a new domain name instead. And the webmaster that originally created our site is MIA. I had access befor with the username and password but it does not allow me in. Is there any other way to get to our web content, we do nit want to have to create our site from scratch again. Thank you..

  7. That is a blog, not a blog. If you had a blog with a URL please list that URL here.

  8. We can only help with blogs. If you previously had a blog with a hosting provider, the files are (probably) still with that hosting provider.

  9. When I accessed it previously, I entered ” After that, I would enter the username and password and it let me in. Of course, it doesn't allow me in anymore because someone else bought that domain name on the auction. Thanks.

  10. Right, that wasn't a blog. You'll need to contact your hosting provider about this.

  11. But I thought wordpress was the host??

  12. No, WordPress was the blogging software, not the host. We have absolutely no trace of that domain ever existing in our system.

  13. oh great....I had sworn that I read somewhere that the host was I am back to square one...thank you so much for your help.

  14. You're welcome!
