I have a blog at that was redirected to the domain, which is registered and hosted at dreamhost.

I would like to self-host this blog at Dreamhost. I de-linked the wordpress blog from, and installed WordPress on in preparation for tranferring the blog contents.

When I tried to set up WordPress on it kept redirecting me to the site, and would not let me set up as a separate site from

When I search for, I get this message..”Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.” I can only login to the account, but I would like to set up wp on the new domain

It seems like the two domain names are linked together somehow…how can I separate them so that I can build a separate site on the new installation of wp on the domain?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!

The blog I need help with is

When you say you “de-linked the wordpress blog from” how exactly did you do that?

If you just turned off the domain mapping that could be be issue – the name-servers are still pointing to – you need to change them to your new host – do that at your registrar.

In used the domains feature on my dashboard. Originally I had as a secondary domain that I redirected to. But I removed so that was the primary domain.
