Domain Mapping Issue
Can I just double check I have understood domain mapping correctly.
I have built a new website for my band Complete Madness using wordpress.com. The band already have a website which uses http://www.completemadness.net.
What I want to do, is use completemadness.net as the domain name for my new website completemadnessltd.wordpress.com.
So I contacted the host and they have changed the DNS to the appropriate,
Then I have selected completemadess.net as the primary domain.
However, the old site is appearing…instead of the new worpress.com site I have built.
But stranger still is that my friend tells me on his computer the new site IS showing up with the new wordpress pages (although with some faults)
I have reset my caches, cookies, history etc. I even reset safari, rebooted the macbook etc.
Does anyone have any ideas?
The blog I need help with is completemadness.net.
http://completemadness.net/ – loads fine for me to a checkerboard site at WordPress.COM
If you just changed the name servers – it can take 24 to 72 hours for changes to reach the far corners of the internet – you will be the last to see the changes due to caching issues – try clearing your browser cache and forcing a page reload – or take a long walk to your favorite latte place while you wait for the changes to take effect
