Domain Mapping / Masked Website Forwarding

    Hi there!

    I’m pretty new to this and I am a little confused as to how to get my .wordpress site to become hidden by my .com domain name. I purchased and made it point to my wordpress, but when you type you get directed to the wordpress, but the .wordpress is in the url.
    The registrar I go through offers an option to do “masked website forwarding” so the url visitors see is the .com domain I purchased, but it is $49… through some research it looks like what I’m really looking for is the domain mapping provided by wordpress for $13?
    If I only have “basic website forwarding” provided by my registrar ( will the domain mapping by wordpress solve my problem of wanting my url to remain when viewing my wordpress site?
