Hi all. Some time ago, I added the domain to my blog – – using the domain mapping upgrade. I am now trying to transfer my blog over to a platform and I’ve run into a major headache.

I want to use the same domain name ( for my site. So I canceled my domain mapping service with (it was set to expire in May 2010), and I redirected my domain name to the nameservers at Hostmonster, my new hosting vendor. I then set up the database and directory for at Hostmonster and installed WordPress on that domain. When I tried to log into, I got this message:

“Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please login and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.”

The problem is that even though is no longer associated with my blog, there’s still some linkage that’s keeping me from using that domain name for my new site. In previous similar com-to-org transitions, I had no problem whatsoever in following this exact route.

So how do I get to fully release of my domain name?!?
