Domain technical specifications
Good morning, I have a technical question and in the website I don’t find any answer. If I bought a Domain, for example a “.com” for 18$/year and I move an existing “wordpress.com” blog to this domain, which technical specifications I could use? For example in terms of amount of traffic, usable disk space, php memory, etc. Thank you
Every blog here is free hosted, there are no bandwidth limitations on posts and pages. All WordPress.com blogs come with 3000 megabytes (~3 GBs) of space for storing uploaded files and images. If you need more space you can purchase a Space Upgrade.
Purchasing a domain via a domain mapping upgrade changes the URL only – everything else remains the same.

There is no upgrade you can purchase that changes anything at all stated here: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from. If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you can proceed to purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
Make the domain mapping purchase here > Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades and do the primary blog set up knowing it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.
