Domain upgrade 'issue'

  1. domain upgrade 'issue'

    Hello there,

I have just noticed that I have been automatically billed for domain name renewal even though I disabled automatic renewal (or so I had thought).

I do not know what I did wrong, but I do not wish this to happen again, especially since I no longer use this site.

Your help will be much appreciated. Thanks, Tracy

The blog I need help with is

  2. I am not seeing auto renewal as being set up for your account. So you should be fine. Unless you choose to manually renew your domains, they will simply expire. You will receive some "expiration warning" emails, but you can simply ignore them.

  3. Thank you for your reply. I did receive "expiration warnings" and although I disabled 'automatic renewal' I was still charged and had the renewal fee extracted from my paypal account. My concern is that this will continue to happen, which is why I wish to cancel/delete my domain. How may I do this?

    Thank you.

  6. Okay,

Just to clarify, if you want to cancel your domain it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and it may not choose to do so. We can't guarantee that your domain will ever be available to you again once canceled. If you have any intention of using again in the future, I suggest that you do not choose to cancel.

Please confirm that you understand and want to cancel your domain. Once you have done so, I will cancel it and remove the upgrade from your account.

Please let me know if you have further questions or if anything is unclear.

  7. Thanks for your reply. Oh, you have we a bit worried...I may 'never' be able to get that domain back again (??) even though I am most likely not going to use it again...still, its always a good thing to leave options open....only thing is, I will be paying domain renewals every year for a site I no longer use. I guess I should just cut the rope...'Ok'...please ahead and remove the upgrade from my account. Thanks for your help. :)

  8. check: line 1: 'me', not 'we' . :)

  9. I have canceled and removed the upgrade from your account.

Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
