Double Menu Display
I am losing my mind. For some weird reason, the alignments of my footer and header menus of my website are all over the place, but only on certain pages. They all use the same footer PHP includes. The weird thing is that it is just on the pages I have my main flash players on. I use Brightcove and ustream (both a forms of videos players). However, even singular page posts (still using brightcove) are OK. What is even weirder is that my site and another site using the same custom template are having the same problem. Not updates have been made because they are, well, custom. In both cases I do not recall making any change that would create the problem. I updated to the latest wordpress with the other site and that did not fix it. If it was just the Brightcove players, then the ustream pages would still work, and they don’t, so I don’t think it is that. Maybe a new update with flash did it, but that still doesn’t really make sense either. We are checking out the HTML and PHP code and there is nothing obvious standing out. We don’t see a missing div or anything.
Here is how the “subscribe menu bar” should look. Notice the footer is fine too.
A page that has the problem: (subscribe menus and footers are all over the place)
I guess my question is, without seeing the code, do any of you know of an issue with wordpress that would just make the issue happen out of the blue? The problem is no more than a week old.
The blog I need help with is jasonsilvestri.wordpress.com.
Your site is not hosted on WordPress.COM and you are posting to the wrong support forum. This forum is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM only and we raun on different software. My site is a wordpress site, and this is a relevant place to make my post whether the wordpress template is hosted on WordPress.com or not. It is still a wordpress template, using wordpress, php, and a MySQL database.
When push comes to shove, the end result of the software I mentioned above is simply embed codes. (Like a youtube video)
I look forward to hearing the answer if someone has it.
I am an experienced WordPress user who does know the difference between free hosted WordPress.COM blog and WordPress.ORG installs. Your site is a WordPress.ORG install. The software is different and we cannot help you on this forum with it. The site you must post to for support here here > http://wordpress.ORG/support
Please read > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Oh, now I know what you mean. OK. Will do and my apologizes.
Not to worry and best wishes with your install. :)
