Drop down menu/sub item

  1. I have several categories which I use as different headings for my blog:

Under one of the category headings (The pen is mightier than the sword) I have created a sub-item (Greek expectations), which I wanted to publish separate posts in - the idea being that people go to the main category heading, then the drop down sub item comes down underneath (like a drop down menu) to reveal another heading where different posts are stored.

I did this as i didn't want to create a whole new category heading and take up more space, I wanted a drop down menu.

    1. The posts showing in the sub item menu still show up under the main category heading - I wanted them separate
    2. Is there any way to create more sub items/drop down lists
    3. Does any of this make any sense???

The blog I need help with is

  2. (1) There is only one page we can post to in any blog and
    (2) The static pages we create do not automatically update.

Only the dynamic pages like Archives, Categories and Tags created by the software when we publish a post will update automatically update with new posts.

By default the front page of the blog is the post that displays all posts in your blog. Though there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts (not pages) and we cannot post to more than that one page, we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page.

We organize posts by assigning categories to them. You can create a custom menu and add the dynamic categories pages into the custom menu.

We can also add other items into a custom menu like static Pages but as I said above no static Pages will ever automatically update.

There are many common errors, misunderstandings and misconceptions when creating custom menus and there are some tweaks you can use to improve your custom menu as well.
