I used the HTML editor to make a drop down text box. I want to have a picture included in this as well. The instructions that I have found on this uses the image URL. Does this mean that the image has to be from the internet? I have them on my computer and can’t figure out how to add those. I was able to make a separate private page for the pictures and use the link from that, but is there an easier way? I will include the code that I am using for the drop down.

    Hi there,

Does this mean that the image has to be from the internet? I have them on my computer and can’t figure out how to add those.

Any image you want to use on a website must itself be hosted online on a server somewhere, yes. This is true for all websites – the internet does not have access to your computer’s hard drive, so there’s no way someone visiting your site can see images that are only available there.

WordPress.com comes with image hosting built in, in the media library. Upload your images at My Site ->Site ->Media, and then copy the image URL from there to use in your HTML code.
